A quarter century of
quiet impact
Since 2002, the Waterville Community Foundation has served as a silent partner for dozens of non-profit organizations and local initiatives – working steadily behind the scenes to support children, students, veterans and first responders.
Funds for children
The Katherine R. Smith Funds support programs and services that help children under the age of 18 grow, learn and thrive. Special priority is given to initiatives serving children in the Waterville area with developmental disabilities and those who have experienced abuse – ensuring support reaches those who need it most.
Scholarships for students
Katherine R. Smith Scholarships help students in the Waterville area pursue higher education. These one-time awards are available to graduating high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited college or trade school.
Funds for
community enrichment
The Waterville Community Foundation enhances quality of life by supporting arts, culture, recreation, and other community initiatives. We are actively building a permanent endowment to address both current and emerging community needs – supporting efforts in education, social services, health and wellness, natural resources, community beautification, historic preservation and the arts.
